Getting started
What is Highways?
Highways collects honest reviews of weed, hash and extracts for the Dutch Controlled Cannabis Supply Chain Experiment. Your reviews help other people choose — and help growers see how their products are received. Highways is in a test phase, so things may still change.
What do the Weed / Hash / Extracts tabs do?
They pick the category you're looking at. Browse, your Wishlist, your Journal and your statistics all show only that category, and each category has its own tier medal (shown on the tab).
Why can't I open Highways on my computer?
Highways is built for phones and tablets — you journal at the moment you're consuming. Open it on your phone instead.
Browsing & wishlist
How do I find a strain?
On Browse, search by name or grower, filter by type, grower and flavour (pre-rolls and cartridges have their own filters), and sort by newest, name or THC. Tap a strain to see its details and the community's reviews.
How does the wishlist work?
Tap ★ Wishlist on a strain to save it for later. Each category has its own list. Once you journal a session for a strain, it leaves your wishlist by itself.
What does a strain page show?
Type, THC/CBD, potency, description, flavour profile and terpenes, what formats it's available in (flower in gram sizes, pre-roll), and the community's reviews. Hash and extracts show the production method instead of a flavour profile. Each strain is listed under the grower who produced it.
Journaling a session
How do I journal a session?
On the Journal page tap Journal a New Session, scan the QR code on the bag and choose your strain. Six short steps follow: Look & Smell → Setting → Flavour → Effects → Notes → Rating.
What is the PRD code and why is it needed?
Every bag has a product code printed on its label, starting with PRD-, usually next to a QR code. It ties your review to that exact batch, so a review can only be written for a product you actually have, and each code can be used once. Scan the QR code, upload a photo of it, or type the code by hand if the QR code won't read.
What do "required", "for a complete review" and "optional" mean?

How many sessions can I journal?
One a day. If you stop halfway, your answers are kept until midnight — tap Continue Journaling to pick up where you left off.
Can I review a strain again?
Yes — with a new bag (a new PRD code). Highways shows your earlier review so you can test whether the new batch is consistent. Every session earns Buds.
What's the difference between private notes and a public review?
Private notes are only ever visible to you. Your public review is shown to the community on the strain's page — without your name — and counts toward the review challenges.
Your journal & statistics
Where do I find my past sessions?
Personal Journal lists every strain you've journaled, with each session's answers. Search it, or filter by type, grower, rating, tags or favourites.
What's in "Your Statistics"?
Your totals and average rating, your taste profile, My Favourite Strains, how you consume, and a monthly history.
How do I mark a strain as a favourite?
Switch on Add to favourites? on the Rating step, or tap ♥ on a strain in your journal. Favourites appear under My Favourite Strains in Your Statistics.
Buds, tiers & challenges
How do I earn Buds?
Every session you submit earns Buds — 25 for a complete review:
· Overall rating 4 · Look 2 · Smell 2 · Flavour rating 2 · Effects rating 2
· Flavour match or flavours noticed 3 · Effects felt 3 · Side effects (or "None") 2
· Consumption medium 1 · Amount 1
· +3 bonus when everything above is filled in
Challenges earn extra Buds. 100 Buds = €1 — you'll be able to spend them in the Rewards Shop (coming soon).

How do tiers work?
Each category has its own tier, based on how many different strains you've reviewed completely in it (reviewing the same strain again doesn't raise your tier):
Bronze — starting out
Silver — 3 different strains
Gold — 10 different strains
Diamond — 50 different strains

What are challenges?
Goals on the Rewards page that earn bonus Buds — from your first review up to 50 journaled strains. The review challenges (Storyteller, Detailed Reviewer, Master Reviewer) count your public reviews, not your private notes.
Privacy & account
Who can see my reviews?
Other users see your ratings, effects, flavours and public review on the strain's page — never your name, and only the day it was written. Growers see the reviews of their own strains, also without your name. Your private notes are only visible to you.
How do I change my username, theme or password?
Tap your profile chip (top right): the Dark mode switch changes the theme, and Account lets you change your username. Forgot your password? Use Forgot password? on the sign-in screen and follow the email.
